The meeting agreed that polyurethane materials are currently the best performing thermal insulation materials in the world, with excellent properties such as light weight, thermal insulation, moisture resistance, sound insulation, heat resistance, shock resistance, corrosion resistance, easy bonding with other materials, and no melting droplets during combustion.


In October 2005, the State established the “Polyurethane Building Energy-Saving Application Promotion Group” and organized the second session on May 11, 2009; the Ministry of Construction issued the “Polyurethane Rigid Foam Exterior Wall Exterior” on May 19, 2007. "Technical Guidelines for Thermal Insulation Engineering", on October 28, 2007, the National People's Congress issued the "Energy Conservation Law of the People's Republic of China", which laid the foundation for the promotion of polyurethane.

Features:


      1. Rigid polyurethane has low thermal conductivity and good thermal performance. When the density of rigid polyurethane is 35 ~ 40kg / m3, the thermal conductivity is only 0.018g ~ 0.023w / (m · k), which is equivalent to about half of EPS. It is the lowest thermal conductivity among all insulation materials.


2. Rigid polyurethane has moisture and water resistance. Rigid polyurethane has a closed cell ratio of more than 90% and is a water-repellent material. It will not increase the thermal conductivity due to moisture absorption, and the wall will not seep water.


3, rigid polyurethane fire, flame retardant, high temperature resistance. After the flame retardant is added, polyurethane is a self-extinguishing flame-retardant material. Its softening point can reach above 250 degrees Celsius, and it will only decompose at higher temperatures: In addition, polyurethane will foam in its foam when burning. The surface forms ash, which helps isolate the underlying foam. Can effectively prevent the spread of fire. Moreover, polyurethane does not generate harmful gases at high temperatures.


4. Due to the excellent thermal insulation performance of the polyurethane sheet, the thickness of the outer protective structure of the building can be reduced under the same thermal insulation requirements, thereby increasing the indoor use area.


5. Strong deformation resistance, not easy to crack, stable and safe finish.

The polyurethane material has a stable porosity structure, which is basically a closed-cell structure, which not only has excellent thermal insulation properties, but also has good freeze-thaw resistance and sound absorption. The average life of rigid foam polyurethane insulation structure can reach more than 30 years under the conditions of normal use and maintenance. It can be under the normal use conditions of the life of the structure, and will not be damaged under the influence of external factors such as the growth of insects, fungi or algae or the damage of rodents under the conditions of dry, humid or galvanic corrosion.


7. Low comprehensive cost performance. Although the unit price of rigid polyurethane foam is higher than that of other traditional insulation materials, the increased cost will be offset by the significant reduction in heating and cooling costs.

It has a fine cell structure and a much higher density than conventional rigid polyurethane foam for thermal insulation. The density is usually higher than 0,2g / cm3 (200kg / m3). The density of special wood-like materials can also be lower than this value. : Most polyurethane structural foams used in synthetic wood have a dense and tough skin, which belongs to whole skin (or self-skinning) rigid foam. The dense skin makes this synthetic material not only have the appearance and density range of wood , And high strength, not easy to scratch, and the core of the part can achieve lower density, so it can reduce the weight of the part, while having higher overall strength, compressive strength, tensile strength, impact strength And bending strength;

The molding process is simple, time-saving and efficient; its appearance and performance are similar to that of wood, its strength can be higher than natural wood, its density can be lower than natural wood, and it can be planed, sawed, nailed, and drilled; it has excellent acid and alkali resistance and anticorrosive properties. Generally, it is necessary to add flame retardants for wood materials. The materials have flame retardant properties and insect pest resistance. If a color paste of the required color is added during manufacture, the imitation wood produced need not be painted.


   


2. Advantages and disadvantages of polyurethane imitation wood materials:


1) Use low-cost molds to mold wood carving, one-time molding, simple process, high production efficiency, low energy consumption, and the product can realize large-scale industrial production, and the product size is accurate, the pattern is clear, and the texture is realistic; the surface after molding needs to be cumbersome In most cases, trimming or lacquering accounts for 30 to 40% of the total cost. Compared with other general-purpose plastics, the cost of raw materials is higher, about 20,000 yuan / ton;


2) High strength-to-weight ratio, can replace traditional gypsum board, polyester and other synthetic wood with higher density to prepare decorative lines and even structural materials. Compared with wood, it has poor bending strength and impact strength, and has the same metal phase. Ratio, can burn, poor intensity;


3) Stable size, good colorability, abrasion resistance, impact resistance, corrosion resistance, insect resistance, good aging resistance and long thermal insulation life. Practice has shown that: when the epidermis is not damaged, it can be used for a long time at -50 to 70 ° C, and the service life can reach 14 years;


4) Not only the appearance is exactly like wood, but also traditional wood processing methods such as drilling, planing, sawing, and nailing;


5) Environmental protection, which can save a lot of wood, which is conducive to protecting the forest and the ecological environment;


6) Flame retardant, after adding flame retardant, it can obtain a much higher oxygen index (that is, flame resistance) than wood;


7) Wide range of choice of raw materials, product shape and performance can be arbitrarily designed.




2.Application of polyurethane imitation wood


    


 Wood imitation materials are rigid foams of polyurethane structure, which can be divided into three categories according to density: products with a density of 150-400kg / m3 are mostly used for non-load-bearing decorative materials, such as imitation wood carving decorative strips on buildings, and Roman column carving on decorative plates Paintings and other crafts, load-bearing structural synthetic wood with a density of 400-600kg / m3, can be used to manufacture tables and chairs, industrial support cabinets, sofa legs, oil painting frames, picture frames, doors, windows, flower pots, bathroom appliances, etc. The density is greater than 600kg / m3 of whole leather rigid foam and medium and high density reinforced rigid foam material, which can be used to manufacture automobile door panels, battery boxes, trunk lids, railway sleepers, home appliance shells, and skis. For example, compared with conventional wooden bracket products, polyurethane wood-like pipe brackets have the advantages of low water absorption, low heat insulation performance, good flame retardancy, non-perishable, low cost, and tight and beautiful seams.
